I am a mom, grandmother, former preschool teacher (over 20 years), art instructor, small business owner, caregiver, nanny and tutor. I love children and have taught 3-5-year-olds in area preschools, care for my own 4 grand kids as well as teach art (all ages) and facilitate parties. I'm looking for something where I can have a bit of flexibility in my hours and work with a family that values education. I have a wealth of experience and a compassionate heart for children. I'm organized, attentive, reliable, resourceful and kind. I do live out on the north shore area of Lake Travis, so wouldn't be able to take a position in south Austin. Stacy has worked with us for approximately 8 months doing after-school care for our two children. She is great with them; she is patient and kind but also sets reasonable limits and does not just let them do whatever they want all afternoon (like watch TV). She plays board games with them, takes them to swimming lessons, does art projects, and lots of other fun things. She also takes care of light housekeeping, especially in the kitchen, which is a huge help for me. Unfortunately we are moving soon so we will not longer need her services. We will miss her! I highly recommend Stacy as a nanny/baby-sitter!
