About Anabel

To say youth development is my passion is an understatement! My youth development journey began with the mindset that I wish all people who work with youth have: "Be the person you needed growing up". I have carried this mentality in all of the positions I have held to remind myself of the difference I can make in the lives of the kids I serve. With over six years of experience in this field, I have developed activities and experiences that enable kids to learn, grow and build strong emotional skills. In my leadership roles, I have also developed and trained other professionals in ensuring that high quality standards are always met when working with youth. Along this journey, I have also completed trainings in social emotional wellness, trauma-informed practices, Mental Health First Aid certified and became a CPR First Aid Instructor. In addition to my professional experience, I am also the second oldest of my family and am the primary guardian of my three younger siblings.
