About Amy

Working with children is my passion. I am a very nurturing and empathic person. I feel that children do well with boundaries and structure but should be free to have lots of independence and choices as well. I have many years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings as I am also a licensed social worker. I have had various trainings and courses that I feel have given me the knowledge to be attentive and understand each child is unique and develops and communicates in their own way. Some things about me are: I enjoy animals, swimming, singing, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. I have about 10 years of working in childcare settings/nannying experience, 24 years of babysitting experience, and most recently have been a mental health therapist primarily working with children and families the past 5 years.
