In college, I spent 2 summers working at Summer Camp (an action sports camp) as an overnight counselor, caring for 4-18 children at a time, age 7-17. I love doing outdoor or athletic activities with kids, and am able to spend long stretches of time with multiple children safely and creatively. My counselor job has also given me great experience dealing with issues ranging from physical illness to mental health. During the 2019 - 20 school year, I tutored math at Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs, and tutored math and English to a local family in 2021 - 22. I'm so happy to meet local families and I love seeing something finally "click" in a child's head. From bouncing between activities to focusing on a single subject, I'm highly adaptable and enthusiastic, and realize that everything can be a positive learning experience for both me and a child!
