About Amy

Hi, my name is Amy, and I'd love to help you with your family member or friend! I'm a very compassionate person who loves helping people with their needs. I've always been a helper, and I love to get to know people. I am CPR certified and I have some life experience with the elderly. My 90-year-old grandma comes to live with us every summer, and we usually take care of her needs by providing her meals and going shopping with her and finding the right television programs. She is an avid crocheter, which she has passed onto me. I love to hear her stories of what it was like growing up in her day. I learn a lot from her stories. I'm not a professional aide, but I do have the experience. Also, my parents are not elderly, but they are getting older. They have gone through some hardship in the last few years, and I've been their mentor and friend. They are in their late 60s beginning their retirement and have asked me a lot of questions about what they want to do with their lives next. Some background about me: I'm a somewhat recent graduate from Montclair State University. I graduated 2 years ago and am currently looking for some part-time work while I look for my next career change. I've been a receptionist in a doctor's office for about 20 months, and I'm currently looking for a job as an Administrative Assistant somewhere in North Jersey.
