About Amy

I started working with kids when I was in 10th grade at Santa Monica High School. My best friend referred me to a family and that family continued referring me to others. I connected deeply with each child in different ways, and even stayed with one particular family for 4 years until I finished my degree. After that, I worked at Lincoln Middle School as a Special Education Para-educator and part-time as a mentor to adults with intellectual disabilities. In my spare time, I like to rollerblade, go to the beach, crochet, do yoga, sing and dance, and spend quality time with my amazing 5-year-old daughter! One thing you should know about me is that I'm very kind/easy going and I genuinely care! I care about the parents and always want them to feel stress-free when I'm around. I care about building trust with kids no matter how long it takes. Lastly I care about the needs of the family whether it be putting in extra work during a stressful time or just lending an ear.
