Hi I'm Amy! I am a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for working with kiddos. I have personal and professional experience with kids with special needs. I grew up in a family with a sister with severe disabilities; diagnosed with autism, intellectual disabilities, and epilepsy. I also have experience working with kids with hearing loss, Down syndrome, ADHD, and other learning disabilities and a variety of syndromes. Given my career, I have background checks and clearances completed. I love working with children of all ages. I am especially great with school-age kids. I have worked with kids in a variety of settings, including babysitting since the young age of 14, working at summer camps in college, and more recently clinical, professional work with kids and students providing Speech and Language therapy. Amy was our summer nanny for our two girls, ages 6 and 8. She was punctual and dependable, patient with the girls and always up for an adventure with them - the pool, the library, the playground, movies or bowling - you name it! She followed our instructions regarding discipline, schedules and summer reading, while still making sure summer break stayed fun for them. It was a wonderful decision having Amy in our home with the girls each day and I know they are going to miss her! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any opportunity she pursues in the future.
