I taught nursery school for almost 20 years in both Syosset and Brookville I also worked for 13 years in the Special Education Department in the Hicksville School District. In addition, I've continued to provide part time childcare for many families over the years These families and I are all like family to me, and for that, I am grateful. My last position of 3 yrs, was with a wonderful family in Lloyd Harbor with 2 young children. At present, I'm seeking a new long term, part time (6-8 hrs daily) position on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am more than delighted to write a reference for a child care position for Amy. Amy is a true rarity in this world! She has a genuine love & compassion for all children, she's intelligent, and has an endless amount of patience. She was a nursery school teacher for almost 15 years & worked another 13 years with special needs children in a Long Island public school. She cared for our 3 children for over 6 years, as if they were her own. They were 18 months, 3&5 years old when we met. She was dependable 100% of the time. She has a very happy, upbeat & positive attitude on a daily basis. She was not only our sitter, but she soon became an integral part of our family.
