Hello! I am a retired teacher of 30 years. I taught and tutored elementary school in the SF Bay Area. I am currently a substitute teacher in Johnston County Public Schools. I greatly enjoy the variety of grade levels and schools with which I get to work. I have tutored a diversity of grades and abilities. I love reading and hands-on projects. During Covid, I had a pod of 6 fifth graders which was great. I love my dogs and my extended family. I am still exploring NC which is an adventure. Amy led our pod of 5th graders (6 of them in total) during this crazy COVID year. She was creative in engaging them in new ways on their Wake county curriculum and they loved the cool projects and tie-ins to what they were learning. We were grateful, as parents, to have her pushing them in ways that prepare them for 6th grade.
