I was ready to hire Amy - had her onboarding documents ready for her. When I texted to her to confirm her hours the evening before, I didn't hear back, but that's okay. I tried texting again the following morning and afternoon. My other aid texted her later in the afternoon. Still no response. When I tried phoning her, her voice mail was full. This clearly sent the message to me that she was not interested in the position, which is fine. But - ghosting a potential employer is unprofessional and shows she is unresponsive and uncaring to the needs of her patients and their families. It also shows a possibility of her not showing up for shifts. Hire with great caution.
