As a nanny, I met a Jack Russel Terrier that was depressed and mad at the world. I found out that she was withdrawing from social contact more and more after losing her companion dog and had become 'stranger/dog aggressive'. With a lot of patience, one-on-one time/counseling, and some changed routines, the family and I were able to take her on walks and to the dog parks without worrying about her attacking other animals or people. In time, she has become the sweet, friendly, and happy dog we knew she could be.
