Hello! I'm looking for a caring, fun and flexible family. I'd describe my personality as flexible, nurturing and kind. I like going the extra mile and supporting those in my care. I love working with kids because they are so fun, caring and live in the moment. I'm looking for a job that is part time. I started working with kids about 20 years ago in a child care setting. Then received my bachelors in early elementary education and have taught 1st and 5th grades. Along with public school teaching I have taught preschool and worked in infant classrooms for many years. I have also nannied for families with children ranging from infant to school age. In my spare time I like to bake, camp, create art, spend time with my family. My skills include supporting emotional/behavior support, doing arts and crafts with kids, supporting children where they are in their development and more! I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you.

Amy is AMAZING! She has cared for our two sons the past 2.5 years and we could not have been happier with her care! She is punctual, communicative, patient, flexible, knowledgeable in child development, reliable, has a positive attitude and goes above and beyond. She also brought her daughter with her which we loved! I always felt the kids were treated equally and my boys learned from her daughter’s great behavior. The friendship that they created over the years was like that of siblings. I always felt my boys were in great hands and it relieved a great deal of stress while at work. The house was clean when I got home and I could pick up where I left off. The boys looked forward to the days I went to work so they could be with Amy and her daughter. She drove them to school and activities and I always felt confident in her driving and transportation. She would notify us with trips that were out of their normal routine to ensure we were okay with the plan. I felt comfortable approaching her about anything and she was always transparent with any concerns on her end. Her communication was great with us and the kids. They frequently took fun field trips and when they were at home she would facilitate open ended play. She used her teaching background to foster age appropriate learning for our kids and encouraged my boys to be independent. She even developed a lesson plan for teaching the kids to read. She would adjust daily plans based on how the kids were doing. For example after a busy weekend she would plan a low key day. We are separating due to moving away and one of the hardest parts of the move will be no longer working with her. I recommend her 100%.
