About Amy

Hi. I'm Amy and am an early retiree. I have tutored on and off for 20 years; it's my passion to help tutorees meet their goals (I have been told my face lights up when I'm tutoring :)). I have three Ivy League degrees and have tutored a lot of test prep and math (through geometry) with measurable results. I also worked at the company who invented computer-based tests for over seven years. I think fit is very important and I try to make students feel very comfortable in opening up to me about what their true areas of concern and hope are. I usually do a free meeting first to get students comfortable. I try to come up with creative ways to keep students engaged by customizing to their way of learning.
