About Ami

Fostering a child's growth and development is my true passion. I have 5 grown children and raising them was the most fulfilling time of my life. When I became an empty nester, even though my degree is in early childhood education, I started working as a chef and menu developer (I cook and am a trained pastry chef) and then moved to restaurant management. When I moved back to Houston, as a favor to my daughter I agreed to care for the twin preemies (when they were 2 days old) of her boss. One of my children was a micro preemie and I was familiar with the monitors. This position was meant to be temporary but I fell in love with the babies and decided to stay for as long as they needed me. Instead of going back to the restaurant business I am choosing to help nurture and care for children and ease life for busy families. I am full of positive energy, am a safe driver, love to cook, bake and hold a nutrition certification. I also have experience with autism (my oldest is on the spectrum).
