About Amelia

Hello! One of my many passions in life is caring for children. I started in childcare at 16 years old as a pre-K assistant teacher at a daycare. I then began working for a family with two children ages 3 months and 3 years old! I decided to go back into the classroom setting and currently work at a private preschool in Houston but will be permanently moving to New York/Brooklyn. My daily tasks consist of finding fun and engaging curriculum to incorporate in class, help with homework, distribute meals, engage in outdoor activities, and overall caregiver responsibilities! With my private nanny position I was also responsible for light housekeeping, night time and morning routines, managing medication, etc.... I believe creating a welcoming, fun, and organized environment is crucial in all areas of child development. I would love the opportunity to work with another family to ensure their children receive the best care. I can also provide references at your request!
