About Amber

I am currently working as a registered behavior therapist for children with autism. I have worked one year at an after school care program, Kids Express, and another year as a private nanny to three children. I'm fluent in ASL. I play several instruments, love crafts, and spend most of my free time learning new things! I'm athletic as well, I played soccer for 13 years, did archery for 3, and mixed martial arts for 2; I should have no trouble keeping up with the kids! A big big focus of mine is healthy communication and I'm great at deescalating conflict. Home life: I was raised in a loving, two parent household. My mother has a BA in Psychology and I was taught positive thinking and healthy problem solving all throughout my childhood. My mother also stressed the importance of hands on learning through crafts and imagination! I have a sibling who is 10 years my junior (now in her teens) who has helped me be exposed to babysitting for all the stages of adolescence. :)
