About Amber

When I was 10, I was responsible for my 6 and 4 yr old cousins after school; I would walk them home form school, prepare a snack and help with homework until dinner. When I was 12 I was a nanny for a family with an infant (2 weeks old) and would go with them on vacations or when they had a night out. At 14 the sister of that family added her 8-month-old to my group. I was an Applied Behavioral Analyst Assistant within the Bloomfield Public School system. I'm currently the interim Life skills Coordinator. I also provided in home services for families through DDS and/or DCF. I work closely with families to maintain and/or develop a relationship with school/home. I have experience being a nanny for children ages 2 weeks to 15 years old. Through Middle and HS I worked with a wheelchair-bound teenager who was legally blind and prone to seizures, in addition to my volunteer work at a farm for special needs individuals.
