About Amberly
Experience: 6 yrs
I am a babysitter and tutor who has been caring for kids for the past 10 years. I have experience with highly energetic children, kids with ADHD and autism, infants, and toddlers as well. I am a former paralegal recently starting my own freelance business and always passionate and fulfilled when around kids. I pride myself in the way I listen, engage, and teach with calmness and joy. I hold a BBA in Finance and Minor in Spanish. I have experience tutoring K-12, including English, Math, SHSAT and SAT prep (1520 SAT score and attended Townsend Harris High School.) I do not have my own car but have a NYS driver's license and am very comfortable driving. I have prior work experience as a lifeguard and swimming instructor.
Most recent review
Amberly has been tutoring me for year now in math and English. I’m taking my general Ed’s as a first year at BMCC. Amberly has found ways to teach me strategies to solve math problems and use useful tools to write a successful essays. I am very comfortable sharing where my weaknesses are in math and English. She creates a fun/non stressful, but effective learning environment. I would happily recommend her for tutoring. She’s open, understanding, patient, and super funny:)))
