About Amber

My favorite part of tutoring students is that "Aha!" moment when a challenging concept finally clicks for a student. I love helping students build their confidence and fall in love with subjects that may not have always been their favorite. I began tutoring in high school when many of the younger girls on my dance team were struggling with geometry. I was so fulfilled when I saw their grades improve drastically. I also have experience tutoring in math, grades K-12, at Mathnasium as a part-time teacher. I graduated high school with a 4. 5 GPA and number 11 out of 600+ students. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin and am currently enrolled at the University of Southern California as a graduate student.
