About Amaya

Hi! I'm an elementary school teacher who loves helping children feel seen, understood, and confident. I'm patient, dependable, and enjoy creating a safe, fun environment where kids can be themselves. I started babysitting at 16, but caring for children has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As the oldest daughter, I helped care for my younger siblings and discovered how much I enjoy supporting children's growth and development. One of my favorite parts of working with kids is getting to know their unique personalities, interests, and ways of seeing the world. As a quiet and observant child myself, I have a soft spot for children who take a little longer to warm up. I strive to create a calm, supportive environment where every child feels valued. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy writing, creating art, exploring the city, and visiting museums. I love bringing that same creativity and curiosity into my work with children.
