About Amanda

I'd describe my personality as assertive, joyful + energetic. I like working with kids because I love their spirit, creativity, and the amazing things they say! I'm looking for jobs that are flexible + need occasional help, not a full commitment to a regular schedule. I began managing kids when I was a kid. I'm the oldest of 5, and when I was 9 1/2, my youngest sister (a twin) died at birth, so I had to step up to help my mom with a newborn + my other two siblings. I also babysat for neighbors + cousins thr/out my teens. I have a B. S. in psychology + worked with kids professionally since 2006: residential treatment facility as a Youth Counselor, behavior management in a 6th grade SpecEd class, and 3 years community, classroom, and clinic-based ASD Treatment with children + teens. I like to make art, do puzzles, play with + train my animals, hike, garden, play board games, spend time with friends, and ride bikes in my spare time.
