About Amanda

Hi I'm Amanda. I started babysitting for family friends around age 14 and took the babysitting certification class. While in high school I was working as a nanny for a family with 3 boys from birth to 4 years old. With this family I worked on basic cognitive and communication skills and taught basic life skills (like potty training, tying shoes, and simple math). We would spend as much time outdoors as possible; take walks to local parks, creating obstacle courses in the back yard, or playing at the water table. I worked with that family until I entered college. I'm currently a Senior at UCONN studying in the medical field while working at the daycare on campus. I spent the summer working in the toddler room and babysitting on the weekends. I'm interested in babysitting around my school schedule to help reduce my school loans.
