About Amanda

I am very patient and kind when it comes to animals. I have always had a special place in my heart for them. I grew up with animals, from dogs to snakes. I have a neat story I love telling. One day I was driving my children to school and I saw what looked like a leaf in the road. As I got closer to this "leaf" I realized it was no leaf at all, but a itty bitty kitten. She was running around in that busy street. I parked my car (in the middle of the busy street) got out and picked that little thing up and placed it on the floor board of my car. She was very frightened and I didn't want to handle her too much. I proceeded to take off and next thing I knew she had crawled into my dashboard. Long story short I had to go to a mechanic to get her out. Literally blood, sweat and tears along with many hours of taking my car apart to only find her safely snug in a vent. Needless to say she came home with me instead of going to the animal shelter.
