Amanda seems kind and experienced, and we hired her immediately after the interview. Despite her experience and effort, she came over three times, but my daughter had difficulty interacting with her. Each time, my daughter kept her distance and eventually cried herself to sleep. We have used backup care from Care.com several times during the same time slot and have not experienced this before. Typically, my daughter cries for at most five minutes and then becomes comfortable, showing the babysitter her toys and sitting on their lap while reading together.
