About Amanda

Hi! My name is Amanda and I have experience working with children of all age ranges. I started off by volunteering, and then eventually working as a classroom assistant at Flossmoor Montessori School. I taught bright and energetic students aged 15 months to 6 years old. During college I was a member of a scholarship program for teachers called Golden Apple which provided me the opportunity to work in an elementary special education classroom. After graduation, I was able to draw upon both my teaching and academic experience to become a social science teacher at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. There I taught AP and Honors Economics, as well as Honors Government and Politics, for two years. Currently, I am transitioning to become a middle school history teacher at Everest Academy, and I would love to begin babysitting again. I babysat throughout high school and college, and I loved it!
