About Amanda

I am a young woman with a kind, loving, fun spirit. I have a lot of experience with children from ages 2 months to 12 yrs old. I began babysitting my first 2-month-old infant at the age of 12. I have worked in a family owned home daycare which has been in business for over 25 years, so I have had the privilege to work hand and hand as an assistant in the summer months and in turn have received most of the clients from the daycare. My nannying experience, includes working with many families with infants and toddlers over a 1 to 3 year period. I have had the honor to work alongside a midwife while nannying for a family with an infant, where I was able to learn and gain much knowledge about child development, child rearing, and the well being of the mother including the importance of motherhood. During my Masters of Occupational Therapy program, I had the honor to work with children from infancy to 12 yrs old with special needs, developmental and physical disabilities.
