There is a lot of neglect and abuse of the elderly out there. I know I can't change that but what I can do is make sure that any person that I care for is treated with respect and dignity. My Motto: If I can take one elderly person and brighten their life with kindness and love then I would be able to say that I have done my part. I have cared for my grandmother (86 years old) with dementia for about 2 years and then I cared for my grandfather (91 years old) also with dementia for about 2 years. I love helping and caring for people, especially elderly people. They bring me joy with all of their stories and the different prospective that they have on any given day.
