About Amanda

I am currently pursuing my Bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. I will graduate from Texas A&M University San Antonio in Fall 2016. I am looking for some part-time work to help pay for school and other living expenses. I have cared for children for the last 15 years ranging from newborns to 18-year-olds. My professional experience with children/families includes, but is not limited to: 1) Molly Pruitt Library at Roosevelt High School, a dual partnership library between the City of San Antonio and Northeast Independent School District (NEISD) for 2.5 years; where I interacted and assisted children of all ages and their families. 2) KIN Assistant in Kids' Involvement Network (KIN); NEISD's after-school program; where I worked at East Terrell Hills Elementary School and Bulverde Creek Elementary School. 3) Staff Member at Friday Nite Live! (FNL) for the last 2 years; a program that gives "kids a great night out and parents a night off!" FNL provides fun, supervised, and safe activities to children from Kindergarten to 5th grade on Friday evenings throughout the school year. Additionally, I have successfully passed a background check and been fingerprinted via the FBI; in order to legally work with children, the disabled, and the elderly. I love working with children and strongly believe that they are the gateway to a bright future!
