About Amanda

I'd describe my personality as caring, loving and kind. I like caring for seniors because I grew up being raised by my grandparents. I did end of life care for one of my grandfathers and found just how much I enjoyed listening and learning about his life. Everyone just wants to be heard and wants to know they are cared about as a person. I also worked at a dialysis clinic that was for those with Alzheimer's and dementia. That was definitely hard work but very rewarding. I'm looking for a job that fits into my schedule with my boys and the life I lead. Where I can benefit the person I am working for and their family by providing stable, loving and empathetic care. In my spare time, I like to paint, work on home renovations or projects, and spend time with my boys. One thing you should know about me is I am a full time college student working towards my degree in social work so I can work with kids and their families at Children's Mercy. My goal is to one day be a license LCSW.
