About Amanda

Working with children brings me so much joy. I was fortunate to be able to be able to stay home with my two children. I chose to homeschool them because I love seeing the excitement in young children when they get passionate about a subject. I've worked for several years in daycare, specializing with infants, and after school settings with ages from infant to middle schoolers. I also worked as a teacher and assistant at a dance studio for 10 years. My degree is in fine arts and I currently teach classes at the Durham Arts Council in addition to nannying part time. I'd love to work for a family where I can truly care for your child as you would. I'm happy to help with household management and I take constructive criticism well. I'm punctual, responsible, hardworking, and loving. I take the parents' lead as far as how they want things done in their home. I'm happy to provide excellent references.
