I started to work in child care about 10+ years ago in a daycare I was the main person in charge. I know how to do circle time and many fun activities. I love working with all ages I have worked with infants, toddlers, preschool, and school age kids. I pride in educating children and showing them skilled manners for there future. I' m very respectful, reliable, and honest. I like going out for walks and fun activities with the kids. I also know how to cook and clean. I can follow a set schedule if you have one. I have also done in home nanny for many people and about 7+ years. I look forward to hearing from you.

I had a good experience with Amalia that ended very disappointingly, so I would give her 5 stars for the work she did for me but 1 star for the manner in which she quit. I questioned writing this review, but I feel it's something Amalia needs to learn from to better support future families who are depending on her for childcare. Starting with the good: Amalia worked really hard, always showed up on time, and was doting and loving towards my baby. In addition to looking after my baby, she cooked, she cleaned, she did the laundry – she was very helpful around the house and always willing to help in a cheerful manner. Without getting into all the details, a couple months into working for my family, I tried to approach Amalia to give some constructive feedback about following the schedule I had outlined, in what I thought was a respectful, calm manner. Her response was startling: She told me she didn't want to work for me anymore and that it would be her final day. This was completely out of the blue and left me without help, without any notice. I fully understand that not every family is going to be a fit for a nanny, and vice versa. There is nothing wrong with Amalia wanting to stop working for my family – in retrospect, our styles did not mesh. However, her approach in quitting was extremely unprofessional. There are certainly two sides to this story and I presume Amalia had been feeling unhappy for some time to quit in this way, but she had not expressed concerns – and equally, I expected her to be able to have a simple discussion to get to the bottom of an issue instead of shutting down and quitting. To leave a family completely in the lurch without any previous indication or attempts to work through issues is reckless and unprofessional. I am fortunate to have other help but for parents who don't, this would've been an extremely painful and troubling situation. I don't doubt that Amalia will work hard for any future families and provide good care. However, I hope she will use this experience as a learning that if she is feeling discontent, she should bring up concerns to the parent(s) to see if they can be worked through, and if not, to provide notice to quit in a professional manner that allows both parties to end on respectful terms.
