I have tutored students in various math and science subjects in high school and college including: -Pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry -Basic biology, chemistry, physics; science of water -Environmental sciences/geosciences; GIS classes Even though I do not have an official teaching certification, I have about 6 years of experience through volunteerism and tutoring/TA-ing in college. During covid, I was a virtual math tutor for a few students and was able to customize the lesson plans for each students and we worked on the problems together through Microsoft OneNote, google drive, and the Paint programs. As a tutor, I will make sure to attentively listen to your student, practice abundant questions, make sure they understand the content at a conceptual and critical level, walk through problems together, and share resources with them so they feel more confident in completing their work and studying outside of our sessions.
