About Amaiah

I started working with kids when my cousins started have children and their friends would ask me to babysit. I initially started babysitting a 6-month-old which lead up to me eventually being able to receive more babysitting gigs. Leading me to become an early childhood educator major! I have worked in a child development center where I was in charge of 12, 3-year-olds in my community. It was such a rewarding job and great experience during community college! One thing you should know about me is I'm very interactive with the kids. I'm interested in knowing what the child is intrigued by and use their interests to guide their learning. Through these interests I find activities that challenge them, expanding their knowledge about various topics. In my spare time, I like to draw and play my ukulele! I have an associates in studio art and love to include any art activities to my work as well.
