About Alyssa

My lifelong journey in caregiving began at age 6, when I started volunteering alongside my parents in senior facilities. My dad was an engineer and my mom was an activities director. Over my many years of volunteering and work, I have cultivated a patient, calm and empathetic approach to supporting the independence of everyone I work with. I studied family and child psychology and have been trained in CPR and First Aid. I am a musician, and have used my music and psychological training for music therapy and memory care. I have experience in light housekeeping, errands, transportation, companion care, and cooking. I prioritize understanding someone's unique history and preferences. I provide regular updates via text or phone calls to ensure you always feel connected to your loved one. I am skilled at redirecting attention during moments of confusion/ stress, and use empathy to build trust deescalate situations. My passion is making sure everyone feels safe and cared for.
