About Alyssa

I grew up in a large, blended family. I am one of 9 children, and I always loved taking care of my younger siblings growing up. I've loved babies and kids since I was young. As a teenager I babysat and looked after kids in my church's nursery, and always left having been taught as much by those kids as they had been taught by me. I went to cosmetology school during my senior year of high school, where I had some CPR training, and I worked for almost 2 years at a children's hair salon after graduation. As a childcare professional I truly believe that children have as much to share with and teach us as we do for them. Children are little people, they require patience, guidance, and respect as well as love and care. Caring for children is more than telling children what to do, it's guiding them on their path to becoming the people they will through their lives.
