About Alyssa

I have over a decade of experience in the education and private tutoring space. I have been a classroom teacher for over 10 years and have taught all core subjects from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I have also spent time designing reading curriculum for school districts and most recently I've been working as a literacy intervention specialist focusing on foundational reading skills and comprehension. Once I start working with a family, I take that obligation very seriously and enjoy building lasting relationships with both the children and their families. I have worked for my current family for four years and have tutored their three children from pre-school through 5th grade. I will be relocating from California to Dallas in June of 2024 and am looking forward to building a relationship with a new family.
