About Alyssa

My name is Alyssa, I am 38 years old and I have loved animals my entire life. I have been involved in animal rescue for almost 12 years! I first started volunteering at a local animal shelter in 2012 and was there for over 7 years. Then in 2020 my sister and I decided to start our own animal rescue. I am now the VP of a no kill animal shelter called The Runaways Animal Rescue. I am a hair stylist by day, but working with Animals is truly my passion. I have extensive experience taking care of dogs, cats, chickens, and small animals! I am proficient in feeding, cleaning, administering medications, and providing physical/mental enrichment for all animals. I would love to extend my compassion and experience to help families care for their animals. Whether it's walking their dogs, feeding their animals, cleaning kennels, litter boxes, or just providing company for their pets! In my free time you can find me enjoying music, nature, and relaxing at home with my husband and our animals!
