About Alysia

Hi! I'm Alysia and I have 5+ years of paid experience as a babysitter and tutor. However, a lot of my experience comes from being the oldest of many cousins and the years spent volunteering in academic settings. Cooking, reading, science, and the outdoors are some of my interests. I am currently attending the University of Delaware and am pursuing a degree in Elementary Special Education. I have experience babysitting children between the ages of 3 and 13 and tutoring children in grades 2-10. I like to help children work on enhancing their problem-solving skills and critical-thinking skills. I also love to help children discover their creativity through fun and engaging activities. I have experience both with following a structured or non-structured schedule and know how to fill time with engaging lessons/activities. I have my own material but am also flexible and can use what you prefer. I am also comfortable commuting on public transportation.
