About Alyse

Hi, my name is Alyse. I'm from Dixon, IL, and I babysat throughout high school for a family with three children ages 2-9. After graduating, I moved to St. Louis to study at Saint Louis University but decided to "take a break" after one year and move to Spain. There I worked as an Au Pair in Seville, caring for two girls ages 4 and 8, while living with their family. My duties included picking the girls up from school each day, preparing lunch and cleaning up, playing with them in English, helping with homework, taking them to after school activities, and coordinating with the parents in Spanish. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life to date, as I got to become part of the family and quickly grew to love them. While in Seville, I got my CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) from the University of Cambridge. After this, I decided to take a job in Lima, Peru, where I lived and taught English to business professionals from January 2016-May 2018.
