I have been tutoring for 8 years for children of all ages, ranging from 5-18 years old. I have a bachelors degree in Spanish literature and am a native speaker. I have experience tutoring in all subject areas which include: Spanish, English, Writing, Math and many more! I currently work for the school district, with children with special needs. I tailor to the needs and learning styles to each student, and adapt my teaching style to their individuality. I love to keep children engaged and make their learning experience fun! Alma has been tutoring my son in math and other subjects for over a year. She is very good about explaining the steps of each math problem to my son and asking questions to ensure he understands. She helped him bring his math grade up from an "F" to an "A". My son can be very hard on himself, but Alma is always encouraging him and I noticed a complete turnaround in him. Alma also helped him bring his grade up in English. I'm glad we hired her!
