Looking for someone punctual, experienced, and has professional experience with newborns and twins? I have over 16 years of experience assisting families in caring for their children and taking care of the home to-dos too. Plus, I have raised 3 wonderful children of my own. I attended college and received credits in Early Childhood Development to make myself a better nanny. I began my career working as a day care teacher with infants and toddlers. I have worked with several families over the years as a full-time nanny and I found my job very rewarding. My most recent employment included darling twins girls which I cared for since their birth - 3 years. I would read to them when they were little and as they grew I began teaching them songs, the alphabet, colors, and numbers. I would always take them to the park for their enjoyment and enrichment. In addition, I would create playtime activities at home - puppet time, nature walks in the backyard, tea parties, etc. I enjoyed preparing them for pre-k- repeating words, and pointing to things and helping pronounce sounds and overall helping them to learn and speak. I loved having art and crafts- painting, safely cutting construction paper- teaching them to use children's scissors to cut things about of magazines. I treat each child as though they were my mine own and teach them to be safe by watching them and staying close by. I believe it is important to keep a schedule. For example, in the morning preparing breakfast, then getting everyone ready for the day by getting dressed, teeth brushed, hair brushed, etc. Then keeping them busy with an activity or go to the park, before nap. I like to make the routine work for everyone. I am not the type of nanny to put them in front of a TV. When they are a little older, around 2 years, then I let them watch one program with educational content with parental approval, of course. In regards to discipline, I give warnings and teach them to other productive option. If that doesn't work, I move to time outs. This system has worked for me for 10 years. If I say I am giving a time out, I stick to what I say. I believe in being consistent and demonstrating that I mean business, when necessary. Keeping the home together: All families have a little something they are looking for in regards to keeping the house organized. I am basically a personal assistant, I can do the grocery shopping and meal preparation for the kids. With older kids: I can do all the driving and pick-ups, helping with homework, light house keeping, the kid's laundry, empty the dishwasher, and putting away the kids laundry. I would clean the toys and change the sheets twice a week and as needed when accidents occur. Other household duties, we should discuss. I love to see infants grow and develop into their own little person. . I am still in touch with the families I nannied for. Therefore, I come with great references.
