About Ally

I have cared for animals my whole life, having grown up with three dogs, rabbits, a tortoise, and many fish. I have also worked on farms since I was 9 years old and have cared for chickens, pigs, horses, donkeys, goats, cattle, and cats on numerous occasions. I have over 2500 hours of volunteer work with animal shelters and rescues, working with abused dogs, horses, and other farm animals. I currently work at Virginia and Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine assisting in the ICU and ER. I am also currently assisting in research on cattle at the Virginia Tech Dairy Facility. I am more than comfortable with all kinds of animals and all temperaments. Having experience with shelter animals, I have been exposed to animals who are friendly, fearful, reactive, cautious, etc. I understand each animal is different and has a different story, meaning each animal gets cared for in their own specific way.
