I love all types of animals. If I wasn't an elementary educator then I would be a veterinarian. Growing up I had a family dog, a Bichon Frise, who passed away at 17 years old. I had him since I was 3 1/2 years old. In summer 2010, I got my own dog. He is an Australian Shepard mix. He loves walking, playing, and being pet. He is extremely friendly and well behaved. He took training classes and passed the Canine Good Citizen Award. I sometimes take care of my neighbors dogs or friends, when they leave for vacation, work or family trips.
