I'd describe my personality as empathetic, open and adaptable. I like caring for seniors because they are our history. I'm looking for a job that enriches my life and the person I work for. I started caring for seniors when I began nursing school in 1995. In my 28 years as a RN, I have experience with infection control, assessments, chronic disease eduction and management, medication education, wound care, and documentation. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband, 2 sons (19 and 17 years old) and our 3 dogs. I enjoy watching movies and doing cross stitch. I am an open book. What makes me different than most caregivers is that I've been a patient almost as long as I've been a RN. A drunk driver left me partially disabled in 2003. What I've experienced has led me to be a better caregiver. I can genuinely empathize when my clients. I like to create relaxing environments and I use humor to help all situations.
