About Alissa

Hi there! My name is Alissa. I'm 27 years old and have 15 years of childcare experience. I've worked as a private nanny, in a preschool classroom, in a school-age before and after school program, as a kindergarten classroom volunteer and for a nanny service. Although my experience age-wise is broad, I have the most experience with newborns-toddlers. All my private nanny jobs have been with infants and kiddos 4 & under. I prioritize outdoor time, reading, and artistic play. I believe in an RIE approach to childcare: setting boundaries, providing attention and guidance but not hovering or overstimulating a content child. Basically, I believe in letting children explore their worlds with autonomy and agency, in a safe environment. With that said, I've worked with many different types of families and have always found a balance between their ways and my own. Please reach out with any questions!
