About Alison

I was the primary caregiver to my mother for the last few years of her life. I cared for her with love, compassion, and patience. Mom had mild dementia and was in poor health. I bathed and dressed her, managed her medications, prompted her to take her medication, prepared meals, cleaned the house, did laundry, took her to doctor appointments, walked with her, and was a companion to her. Near the end of her life, I worked with her hospice team to keep her comfortable, which included administering morphine and other medications.
