I taught for 2.5 years in the community college setting while my children were young, between employment in IT and R & D. I have advanced coursework in applied mathematics, logic, physics, operating systems, coding, AI, HTML, XML, DBA, with a refresher course from my 3 kids recently in middle and high school math taught "the new way". I have extensive experience with advanced coursework concurrent with learning disabilities, as well as all levels of achievement. I speak "IEP". :) I currently tutor 3 middle school girls in varying levels of mathematics. I can provide references. Although I can tutor all levels of mathematics from elementary school to college, I find I have a soft spot for middle/high school girls - this is often when they can come to believe that they just aren't good at math, which in many cases, is not true. I'm living proof, as are my son and daughter. 2 of my 3 children had learning disabilities specific to math, so I do have extensive experience. Policy for cancellations: 24 hours is required for cancellations, and reschedules on the same day are per my availability. After the first cancellation without adequate notice, I will charge the normal rate for one hour.
