About Alison

I have been working with kids, helping them develop artistic skills for several years. I studied art at Mass College of Art and graphic design at Salem State. I believe in not only teaching children the basics of drawing, painting, sculpture and collage, but also in helping them discover and explore their creative process. I believe that all children (and adults for that matter) have great potential for creativity and innovation, and that learning to access one's inner artist can help with problem-solving, coping skills, self-confidence, and in many other areas of life. I have worked as an art instructor for children ages 4 to teenage + both in private studio classes and at an after school program. I also specialize in helping high school students prepare their portfolio for college admission.
