About Alison

I have always had a heart for children. I started working with kids when I was a teenager, working in my church nursery. Throughout high school and college I volunteered at kids' camps, served overseas in orphanages and worked at an after-school program. I became an elementary school teacher at a local public school and completed my Masters in Counseling at a local university before staying home full-time with my kids. I was a foster parent for several years before having the privilege of adopting my youngest. I am currently a licensed respite caregiver for foster parents and do that as needed, typically once a month or so on weekends. My home is up to state safety standards. I am looking for a job that offers flexibility. I am a stay-at-home mom who homeschools a couple of my children. I would love to keep your child or children in my home. In my spare time, I love to read, go camping and travel with my family, garden, cook and eat.
