About Alison

Top skills: animation software, video editing, creative writing. I have a strong background in teaching animation, from summer camps for kids to adult 3D animation classes. Currently, I'm an instructor at Greenbelt Access Television, teaching stop motion and claymation. I also enjoy working on creative projects like shadow puppetry which involves a bit of creativity, writing and engineering. My teaching style is patient, empathetic, and curious, and I love making art and animation accessible for everyone. I started tutoring at UMBC, teaching kids video editing and Lego animation. I've worked with students on the autism spectrum, so I promote inclusive learning strategies. I'm seeking a flexible role that works around my second job.
